2024 PS3 Science Fair will take place on Saturday, April 6th, 2024 in the Auditorium and Gymeteria. The Science Fair is our school's annual celebration of curiosity and wonder! The Fair is organized by the PS3 PTA Science Committee.

Thursday, April 4th - Maker's workshop at PS3 to assemble entries (3:00-5:00pm)
Saturday, April 6th - Science Fair (1:00-4:00pm)
The Fair will run between 1:00pm and 4:00pm on April 6th. Student presentations and adult demonstrations will take place at scheduled times through the afternoon. For full program see event informations.
The Fair will feature entries on experiments and demonstrations by PS3, please see guidelines page for full details.
The larger PS3 community is invited to participate as well.

Students can work on their own or as part of a team. Teams can be organized either by students themselves or with their class. The Fair will also feature demonstrations by parents and other members of the PS3 community in the sciences. This will not be a competitive fair. All students with entries will receive a participation certificate.
Below you will find information on how students can register an entry in the Fair. Please submit your entries now using the linked form.
We will also host a Science Fair Maker's Workshop on the afternoon of Thursday, April 4th at PS3. We will have poster boards, printing facilities, and other materials for students to assemble their Fair projects. Students can also store their projects at the school until the Fair.

We have an online form that parents or teachers can complete to register their children or a team that they are supervising. We need to have all entries registered as soon as possible so that we can arrange enough table space for all entries.
Before completing the form, be sure that you have the following:
Student name (or names, if it is a team project) and grade(s); if it is a class project, indicate "class project" and the grade.
Name and contact information of the parent or teacher who is supervising the entry.
Proposed scientific "Question" (see Guidelines above).
The organizing committee will review all Science Fair entries to be sure that they are appropriate in terms of safety, materials, age-appropriate content, and other practical considerations. If need be, the organizing committee will be in touch to suggest how to revise the entry to meet these guidelines.
The Science Fair committee will then confirm the entries with all of the parents or teachers who complete entry forms.
